Family Ice Fishing Day
Feb 23, 2008 - Saturday, February 23th from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. We will provide hotdogs, chips, hot chocolate and coffee. We will also supply bait, unlimited holes and equipment, if you have your own feel free to bring it. Ham Lake Public Park. Due to potential ice thickness not supporting a truck, we ask that you park in the lot just off of 153rd Ave south of Horizons. We will have all the food in a covered trailer on shore–we will shuttle people back-and-forth between the lake and the trailer. Bring warm clothes, and a valid fishing license, (16 and older).
August 12, 2008: DNR Firearm Safety
The Horizons hunting and fishing ministry will hold our annual DNR-certified gun safety training this August. Classes start Tuesday, August 12th at 5:45 to 9:00 p.m. and run from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 14th, Tuesday August 19th and Thursday August 21st. There will be a testing and field day Saturday August 23rd from 8:00 to noon. Available to those 11 and older. Classes will be held at Horizons Community Church, 1503 157th Ave NE, Ham Lake, MN 55304. Cost is $15.00.
